New AFGE Ad Featuring Federal Employees and the Great Work They Do Every Day

AFGE has just released a new 60-second audio advertisement featuring four of our federal employees and our National President John Gage.

Check out the audio here on the Washington Post site!

The advertisement showcases the diversity and significance of the work that our employees do. These employees belong to organizations such as: the Bureau of Prisons, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Social Security Administration.

We hear from Mike Shnobrich Correctional Officer of the Supermax in Florence Colorado, Janet Winghart a Social Security Claims Rep in Fort Lauderdale, Michelle Reed a nurse at the VA Medial Center in Minneapolis,  and Everett Kelley who works at the Anniston Army Depot in Anniston, Alabama. Each employee says “trust me,” as they explain how they work for you every day.

The advertisement closes with remarks from AFGE National President John Gage.

You can trust us. We work for you.”

The advertising campaign is a challenge to recent attacks against federal workers that AFGE members have had to endure.

The audio advertisement has already gained national attention from the Washington Post. You can read the article here.
